The United Nations Global Compact Network in Australia (UNGCNA) is seeking to appoint a new Executive Manager who will work with the Board to implement its strategy and business plan over the coming years.

The United Nations Global Compact in Australia represents more than 300 Australian stakeholder organisations when it comes to the initiatives four core Principles of the Environment, Anti-Corruption, Human Rights and the Environment.

 

Working with other UN initiatives to deliver a cross section of programs, the United Nations Global Compact in Australia (UNGCNA) is recognised as being one of the leading networks globally.

 

As part of the organisations growth plan the UNGCNA is now seeking to appoint an Executive Manager to further develop the signatory base of the UNGC, execute member acquisition strategies and work with the Board to fully implement the business plan for 2013 – 14 and beyond.

 

The Executive Manager will have day to day management responsibilities for a small team with an additional priority of providing support to members, being responsible for the effective management of the organisations Leadership Groups, briefings and learning forums.

 

Reporting directly to Australia’s Representative to the United Nations Global Compact, the Executive Manager will also be involved in advocacy and building sustainable and strategic partnerships with a cross section of organisations, institutions and Government bodies.

 

Selection Criteria:

  • Possession of tertiary qualifications appropriate to the responsibilities of the position or relevant experience
  • Demonstrated high level organisational, administrative and financial management skills and the ability to manage staff and work with professional volunteers
  • Experience in Corporate Governance 
  • High level communication, publishing and public relations skills including demonstrated track record of public speaking
  • Ability to interpret strategic direction into tangible outputs
  • Ability to work autonomously within a small office environment
  • Demonstrated experience in the management of Government, stakeholder and member relations
  • Experience event management and membership development
